1. Foundational Exercise - Immediately Improve Pitch, Tone & Range With This One Exercise
Lesson Introduction:
This is a great vocal exercise that helped transformed my voice when I was tone-deaf and over the years I've had this course online it's helped thousands of others do the same. If you want proof this works, record yourself on voice memos singing 20 seconds of the first song that comes to your mind before this lesson (don't judge yourself just have fun with it) - then record yourself after you finish this session. Compare those two audios and you'll hear the difference immediately.
Learn how to do the exercise in this lesson:
We'll be using this exercise in the practice session for today.
Before we practice together, let's start with this pre-lesson warm up:
This will prep your body and voice to get the most out of the practice session.
In the coming lessons, I'll go in-detail and demonstrate exactly how to breathe, support your voice and fully release vocal tension for ideal singing technique that keeps your voice safe.
Now practice with me in the guided session below:
Choose your voice type and follow along with the video below - this is how your voice actually improves. I'll be guiding you up and down your range, do your best to follow along. It's challenging but it's supposed to be - it makes you a better singer after you finish.
There's a lot of theoretical information out there on singing with ChatGPT, YouTube, etc - but none of that will make you a better singer (sometimes it makes you worse by overthinking singing). It's the guided practice sessions in this course that trains your voice with the correct, healthy technique which coordinates and strengthens your singing. Over time you'll have complete control over your singing voice.
Think of it like a workout for your voice. Your voice is growing with every session. If you have trouble with this, do it 1-2 more times before moving on to the next lesson. We will go back over these exercises in future lessons and it will get easier as we progress together. Don't worry if you can't get through the entire session, even just 10 minutes is a win! You can always go back and finish it later.
